VANTAGE ONCOLOGY PARTNERS WITH MANHATTAN-BASED PHYSICIAN PRACTICE TO FORM BROOKLYN RADIATION ONCOLOGY, LLC

Joint Venture Includes Development of New State-of-the-Art Cancer Facility to Provide High Quality, Innovative Care to the South Brooklyn Community

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (August 10, 2005) – Vantage Oncology Inc., an El Segundo, Calif.-based developer of state-of-the-art radiation oncology facilities, has partnered with members of the faculty of Beth Israel’s Radiation Oncology program to develop a new state-of-the-art radiation oncology facility in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn. The new facility will be known as Brooklyn Radiation Oncology. The partnership will invest approximately $6 million to develop and equip the new facility which will be located on Avenue X at 21st Street. Brooklyn Radiation Oncology, PC, which will operate the facility, is spearheaded by Louis Harrison, M.D., Director of the Continuum Cancer Centers of New York and Chairman of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Medical Center and St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. The Medical Director of the facility is Paul Gliedman, M.D., Associate Director, Continuum Cancer Centers. Vantage Oncology will manage the facility.

The Brooklyn Radiation Oncology facility is expected to open in October of 2005. The facility will offer its patients increased access to the most advanced treatment options for cancer and will be equipped with a state-of-the-art Varian 2100 IX linear accelerator capable of delivering Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and Body Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). IMRT and IGRT are advanced clinical treatment options that permit precise targeting of radiation to a tumor, sparing critical normal organs, providing for better outcomes and fewer side effects for patients. The facility will also include a CT Simulator, an Eclipse Treatment Planning System and a Varis Vision Clinical Management System to provide a full complement of the most advanced tools available to radiation oncologists in delivering optimal cancer care.
